How it works
Hydroxizine is a first generation antihistamine. It offers relief from symptoms of allergies by blocking the action of histamine, a chemical messenger released during allergic reactions. In short-term anxiety, it works by decreasing the activity in the brain, thus helps induce relaxation and sleep.
How to use
Hydroxicore should be taken by mouth, as directed by the doctor. The daily dose should not exceed 100mg. It is suitable to use among adults and children above 6 years of age. Precautions are to be taken among patients with kidney or liver conditions.
Side effects
Most commonly reported side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue and dryness of the mouth.
